Intimidated by the Camorra[]
Several days later, Chiara and her daughter and were threatened and held hostage by Marco and his gangsters after Gio suspected the Camorra of damaging Angelo's store with a firebomb. When Gio was alerted of this and rushed home, he was attacked by Marco and other gangsters, who warned him not to interfere with their operations again.
That night, Chiara and her family dined at a restaurant when they encountered Marco and his men once more, who began harassing several diners present. As Chiara and her family were intimidated by Marco's prescence, Marco sat at their table and mockingly asked how Gio was doing following their previous encounter before declaring that Gio would become his new inside man and requested that Gio helped him get boats from Somalia. After Marco noticed McCall eavesdropping on the conversation and went off to confront him about it, she witnessed McCall subdue Marco and order him and his men to leave the restaurant. Soon after, Marco and his men were killed by McCall after Marco threatened to retaliate against McCall for meddling.
One night, Chiara, along with her daughter were held hostage by mobsters led by Vincent Quaranta, a Camora crime boss and Marco's older brother. After Vincent and his men arrive, Vincent held Gio at gunpoint and shouted to the townsfolk that he would kill Gio in front of everyone if Marco's killer didn't show themselves. Vincent then shot Gio's ear, terrifying Chiara and invoking fear in the audience. Just as he was about to finish Gio off, McCall revealed himself and revealed that he killed Marco after he refused to leave the townspeople alone willingly surrending himself on the condition that he didn't harm the people. When Vincent prepared to shoot McCall, Dr. Enzo came out with a rifle and shot a blank to get their attention before ordering the gangsters to release Chiara and her daughter, with the townsfolk recording the event to attract the police, forcing Vincent and his men to flee Altamonte, but not before he vowed to retaliate the following morning.
After Vincent and his men left, Chiara and her family partook in a parade to honor Mother Mary alongside the other residents of Altamonte. At the same time, McCall tracked Vincent down to his residence in Naples and swiftly killed all of Vincent's men before force-feeding Vincent a lethal overdose of the drugs he had been selling, ending the Qauranta's control over Altamonte and bringing their drug operations to an end.
