Jada Koren Pinkett Smith (/ˈdʒeɪdə ˈpɪŋkɪt/; born Jada Koren Pinkett; September 18, 1971) is an American actress and talk show host.

She portrayed as Jessie "The Worm" Cook in CBS re-imagining series The Equalizer.

Biography[]

She is best known for her supporting role in the sitcom A Different World (1991–1993) and as Niobe in The Matrix Reloaded (2003), The Matrix Revolutions (2003), and The Matrix Resurrections (2021). In 2018, she began co-hosting the Facebook Watch talk show Red Table Talk, for which she has received a Daytime Emmy Award from seven nominations. Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2021.

Her other significant acting roles include her appearances in the TV series True Colors (1990), along with Menace II Society (1993), Set It Off (1996), The Nutty Professor (1996), Scream 2 (1997), Ali (2001), Collateral (2004), the Madagascar films (2005–2012), Hawthorne (2009–2011), Magic Mike XXL (2015), Bad Moms (2016), Girls Trip (2017), and Angel Has Fallen (2019). She also is known for her recurring role as gangster Fish Mooney on Gotham (2014–2017). Pinkett Smith launched her music career in 2002, when she helped create the heavy metal band Wicked Wisdom, for which she was a singer and songwriter.
