Melody Bayani

Melody "Mel" Bayani is the character on The Equalizer and former U.S. Air Force sniper turned owner of a bar. She is played by Liza Lapira.

She was also a victim of sexual assault and her husband, Harry messes with the abuser's credit rating and credit cards as retribution.

Biography[]

Melody is Filipino. Her last name, Bayani, means "Hero" in Tagalog. Mel and her family were subjected to discrimination which prompted her to rise and be better. Mel had two brothers and a sister. One of her brother being Edison who works as a banker whom she was very close to. Another brother, Matthew works overseas. Her sister, Ruby is married and has children and takes care of their parents.

Mel was a former U.S. Air Force sniper. She was trained by her mentor who stated that "she was the best out of everyone." At one time, she, a group of soldiers including her mentor were sent on a mission until her mentor betrayed her to the enemy. Mel was able to escape by taking down 14 enemies by sniping them and 3 of them by close combat.

At some time, she meet Robyn McCall and became close friends with her. She later married Harry Keshegian and opened a bar. She still made sure her skills were sharp.
